Wedding Style Inspiration: Dusty Rose

Many of the principles and elements of design also apply to other areas of life; for example, coordinating a great outfit, decorating a space... or planning a wedding!
First things first.  You must be inspired!  Find a jumping off point for your planning.  This could be a fabric swatch, a favorite flower, a photograph, etc.  In the inspiration board above, I started with images 6 and 10, and used the dusty pink color to collect other images in that palette that inspired me.
To pull off a cohesive look, it's important to consider different aspects of the design, such as: color, balance, harmony, repetition and texture.  Likewise, as you search blogs and websites for information, try to group the images you save according to style.  This should help you to determine what ideas (dresses, fabrics, linens, invitations, flowers, etc!) that you're repeatedly drawn to. Compiling an inspiration board like the one above can be a great way to keep you on track and focused on a singular, cohesive style that will result in an overall pulled-together look!
Most importantly, your wedding style should be a reflection of you - so have fun with this aspect of the planning, and add some personal touches to make it your own.
Seeing pink...
