Endless Options

When it comes to wedding stationery, like choosing the perfect dress there are endless options when it comes to design, style, shape, and printing.

Most invitations today are digitally printed which means invitations are printed directly form a digital file on a computer.  Digital printers transfer four colours of ink (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) to paper simultaneously producing a full colour print after only one pass through the printer.  This method takes no time at all and is usually the less expensive print option.  Digital printing produces a flat coloured image with no texture and can produce beautiful results.

Newly introduced to Paper Airplanes is Letterpress printing.  Letterpress printed invitations truly leave an impression on your guests - literally!

This relief print method dates back to the late 1800's and uses a press with a high type bed printing press which means that your design is made into a photo polymer plate and mounted into the printing press which will make an impression of your design on paper.  The photo polymer plate is a raised version of the design and as the rollers roll over the plate it leaves ink on the raised sections.  The inked plate is then pressed into paper.  All ink is mixed by hand and once the press is all ready to go every piece of paper is manually fed through and then taken out once the impression has been made.  Letterpress is a beautiful and elegant print method.
